Each autumn, as the leaves fall from the trees, I dread the start of the cold and stormy winter season. This year, instead of hibernating between the months of November through March, I made a conscious effort to get outside and to appreciate the beauty of the season. Dressing appropriately for the weather has helped make the frigid temperatures more enjoyable. There are some winter wardrobe essentials that have become part of my daily winter uniform and which have carried me through these past months….
Everlane Wool Trench | Review
Winters in Canada are cold and we usually receive a full spectrum of weather, including freezing rain, snow and temperatures ranging from 5 °C to -40 °C. All in all, I think this makes Canada the perfect climate to put winter coats to the test, which is just what I’ve done with this lovely wool trench from Everlane. As I’m sure you know if you follow me on Instagram, I’ve basically worn this coat non-stop since late October. Now that the ground is slowly defrosting and it feels like spring may make an appearance in the next couple of weeks, I’d like to share my thoughts on this trench and let you know how it’s held up this season….
Our Winter Bedroom
I am constantly moving items around in our house. Pictures, plants, pillows and essentially anything that is not attached to a wall and fits through a door frame travels from room to room. Changing around interior details keeps our spaces feeling fresh and exciting without buying new items. Relocating an item can give it an entirely different look and I often find new joy in items by placing them into different contexts….
