Last month in March, we visited Ireland for two weeks. While the weather was mostly rainy and it was a brisk 2 – 10 degrees Celsius, we really enjoyed escaping the grey, snowy Ontario winter to explore the lush, green Irish countryside. Today, I’m sharing with you my packing list for our trip as well as a couple of my outfits and travel photos.
…My Favourite Jeans | Everlane Authentic Stretch Denim
If I could wear jeans every day, I would. They are my ultimate closet staple, perfect for casual weekends and easy to dress up for an evening out or even for the office. For several months, I’ve been putting Everlane’s Authentic Stretch High-Rise Skinnies to the test, and let me tell you – I’m impressed. Read on for my thoughts about these jeans and to see some of my favourite ways to style this classic denim.
…Tradlands Flannel | Review
Flannel is such a warm and cozy fabric for those cold weather months. In Ontario, the winter chill starts moving in around October and sticks around well into March or even April. For the past months, I’ve been wearing this beautiful 111 North Coast Solstice Flannel from Tradlands on repeat and am wondering why I haven’t owned a flannel for years! If it was because I was waiting for the perfect flannel to come along, then I can definitely say that this one was worth the wait! Read on for my thoughts and first impressions about this Tradlands flannel.
…Fall 10 x 10 Challenge
I have a small capsule wardrobe and enjoy wearing my favourite outfits on repeat. While I can get dressed in three minutes flat in an outfit that makes me feel great and ready to take on the day, I do have mornings where I feel rather dissatisfied with my options. With a closet of mostly neutrals, I sometimes crave colour; and with an abundance of somewhat androgynous pieces such as blazers, trousers and loafers, I can, at times, find myself wanting something more feminine or pretty.
After the success of this summer’s 10 x 10 Challenge, during which I discovered some new go-to outfits created from pieces I already owned, I was excited to participate in last month’s Fall 10 x 10 Challenge. Created by Lee Vosburgh of stylebee.ca, the 10 x 10 Challenge is an exercise in becoming more creative with your current closet by creating a microcapsule of 10 items that you style in different ways for 10 days.
